A Criterion completist with over 20k subscribers and 2k videos on YouTube devoted exclusively to the Criterion Collection, Mr. Beppu personifies what it means to be a passionate film lover and a committed Criterion enthusiast.  

Exhibiting a Scorsese-like love, comprehension and appreciation for film, Mr. Beppu calmly examines and explains the world of cinema to all.

Recently relocating with his family to Los Angeles from Tokyo, Mr. Beppu has already delighted his audience with a visit to a Barnes and Nobles for his first in-store 50% Off Criterion Sale.  Additionally, his followers have shared his excitement in his first visit to The New Beverly Cinema where he saw beautiful 35mm prints of two Sergio Leone classics.  His community has also enjoyed his stroll along the Hollywood Walk of Fame (Renoir, Scorsese, Toshiro Mifune) and a location visit to the shopping mall that Quentin Tarantino used in Jackie Brown.  

Mr. Beppu is a wonderful ambassador for film and for the Criterion Collection, in particular.  Daisuke Beppu, undoubtedly, deserves "An Invitation to the Criterion Closet."
