The anti-science LNP, David Crisafulli and Tony Perrett have today announced that they will ignore their Scientific Working Group and ignore federal environmental law, with their headline grabbing plan to expand, enlarge and intensify the outdated and ineffective Shark Control Program

Shark nets and drumlines do not work, yet they have elected to roll-out more of them, with taxpayer funds, so they can have a good headline or two today.

This money could have been spent on modern, effective alternatives that actually protect people - like outlined in the Envoy Foundation Zero by 2030 plan.

Seemingly, that science and fact based plan is too nuanced, doesn’t make as good a headline, and doesn’t allow David Crisafulli and his Agriculture minister to cosplay as heroes for the day.Once again, they’ve put headlines over human lives, and both beachgoers and wildlife will pay in blood.
