Petition updateCrisafulli + Minns: Shark nets don't work, replace them and bring us into the 21st centuryMASSIVE ACTION WEEK: Help Us Get the Shark Nets Out for Good

We’re at a turning point — and we really need you help. We need a few minutes of your time and energy this week to end NSW shark nets.

The NSW Government is deciding whether to return the shark nets this September. But here’s the truth: NSW already has the most advanced non-lethal shark safety measures in the world. We don’t need to go backwards, we need to trust those measures.

📞 Take Action This Week - calling is best if you are able:

Please contact the NSW Premier, key Cabinet members, and MPs whose electorates still have shark nets. Tell them:

  • The shark nets must not return in September
  • Make their removal permanent
  • Trust in the non-lethal systems already in place

These alternatives are already working right now:

✅ Drones with trained pilots

✅ Tagged shark alert systems

✅ SMART drumlines (which allow live release)

✅ Community education

There’s no justification for putting the nets back in other than political fear. Zero. The public supports modern, non-lethal solutions — and NSW is already leading the world in this space.

📢 Tips for your message:

  • Phone calls are best, by far. Short and polite is fine.
  • If you’re local, let them know you care about beach safety and marine life.
  • If you’re not local, say you’ll take your tourism dollars elsewhere until the nets are permanently removed.

This is the moment to speak up. The science is clear. The tools are in place. Let’s make sure the shark nets are gone for good.

Let's blow their phones up (metaphorically speaking)...

THANK YOU!
