My story started on a lie. This person claimed to have been a victim of domestic abuse which may or may not have been true. She also claimed that my dead army friend visited her in a dream and said we would be okay to show some context on the lengths this person will go to in search of what she wants at the time. Complete mental manipulation to the umpteenth level.

I married this person who claimed a lot.  That I was her soul mate, she wanted my child and so on. She even was attempting to adopt my children from a previous marriage after we had married. This woman so despised my job that she pushed me to gather evidence against my work as well as doing things to undermine the job as she knew she had complete control over me. Once she had me so distraught about losing her that I finally couldn’t do my job anymore; it appears she started to make her exit while I began to suffer from panic attacks due to worry of losing her as I’d offered to turn my back on everyone and anyone she did not like. My own family and old friends included while talking about how much she despised her own family. Driving me to the point of at least one near suicide attempt due to feeling as though I was failing the one person who “believed in me and loved me eternally”. 

Low and behold she decided to divorce me less than a year after claiming she would always be by my side and we would get through this. However, her claim began that I was withdrawing from the marriage. She began projecting the emotional abuse she had subjected me to as somehow her being a victim.

Ironically, she ends up running to the original “abuser” and is now comically married to the “abuser”. The same guy she claimed just wanted to be with her for her family money and how the guys family (as county auditors in some hick county) would look into her family’s financial worth. These sort of baseless allegations and flat out lies are emotionally and financially damaging and have lasting effects into the future as being someone who has to defend their reputation against the person who wanted to “hold my hand until my last breath” knowing all that I’d been subjected to prior. More importantly, the impact it has had on minor children is beyond measure. These would be considered baseless allegations as well if it had not been for hitting record on my phone as she taught me so well to do. 

These types of false allegations should be handled criminally to try and prevent these types of people abusing others and claiming to be the victim. The same type that run and hide behind a high priced lawyer to hide their truth. As now, the only way to set the record straight is through pricey civil lawsuits.  Never would have married this individual had I known how truly deceitful and underhanded she is and will always be and that I was merely a pawn in a disturbed little game of making her “abuser” jealous.  But due to her financial standing she can be that and a lawyer will always hide her abuse. Perhaps holding people like this criminally accountable will prevent further incidents from these types of nefarious individuals since civil slander/ defamation lawsuits do not go far to curb the issue.
