So often the prison gate is a revolving door of mentally ill human beings sent out and returning from the community. Today’s criminal justice system focuses almost entirely on punishment. This petition calls for establishment of programs that try to address the rehabilitation of prisoners while they are in prison and after they are released. This will help prevent the same people from going back to prison.
