Prior to Lillie’s final journey, all our energy and efforts were to make sure Lillie’s special day was fit for a princess, and it was! The beautiful flowers, the horses, the carriage and people lining the streets… if you could ever describe a funeral as beautiful, Lillie’s was, and you could feel the love, mixed with sadness everywhere. 

Lillie, Frilly as I called her was an amazing young lady. She was kind, considerate, funny and loyal… everything you’d want in a daughter. Lil and Debbie, my sister were very close, best friends with a bond most mothers would be envious off. For those of you that saw our interview on ITV, you would have heard my sister share how she feels, as if her arms and legs have been cut off. Loosing Lil is beyond sad, it’s devastating, heartbreaking and nothing in this world will ever make it better! All we have now is a battle for justice! 

Running this campaign is all we have, we have to get justice for Lillie. Whilst we understand how critical it is to gather all of the evidence, however, we will never understand why, at this stage, over  13 weeks since the collision, the driver is still free to live his life and drive around… it feels as if there is no accountability for Lillie and that just isn’t right! Someone caused Lillie’s death and there are no consequences! 

The police are doing everything they can, it’s the legal system, the laws in this country that are archaic and not relevant to the world we live in today. I’ll never understand how someone can cause someone’s death by driving and their license isn’t suspended immediately! 

Our MP has tried twice to have our campaign heard in the Houses of Parliament and it’s been rejected… we will have to wait until after Easter now! Let’s hope it’s third time Lucky.
