We are over the 7,500 mark… thank you all for the kindness you have shown by signing our petition and the lovely comments you have left.
In the past 7 days, very little has happened. My sister is still unable to lay her baby girl to rest because of the ‘process’. Lillie’s heart stopped beating 38 days ago today… how can it be right that despite the overwhelming evidence that confirms how Lillie was killed and who by, she is still the one having to prove it. Shouldn’t it be down the driver to provide evidence that he didn’t? Not that he can of course!
The ‘process’ continues to add more heartbreak… hearing and knowing things you never want to know or hear; you just cannot get your head around it all, it’s like you’re watching a TV drama… it’s too difficult to process!
We will not stop fighting to get justice for our Lillie… it may take years! How many more parents will get a knock on the door one day and find themselves in this situation before the law is changed? We need harsher sentencing… how else will it stop?
Lillie was a beautiful young woman with so much to live for… she was fun to be with, she had an infectious laugh that made you smile, she had a good job, great friends and looking back, lived her short 22 years to the fullest - we will all miss her for ever.
Please continue to sign and share? This petition has had over 90,000 views… we really believe some of those people have signed and not confirmed their email… could that have been you?
Thank you all again… your support really means so much xx
