Stop Criminal Injustice – Fair Trials for All and Remove Corrupt Officials
Criminal injustice harms many Filipinos, especially the poor who cannot afford good lawyers. Innocent people are wrongfully imprisoned, while wealthy and powerful criminals go free. Families suffer when their loved ones are punished for crimes they did not commit, and communities live in fear because crime remains unchecked. Corrupt officials allow this broken system to continue, weak public trust in the law. The 1987 Philippine Constitution, Article III, Section 14, guarantees that “No person shall be held to answer for a criminal offense without due process of law.” However, many Filipinos, especially the poor, are denied this right due to lack of legal representation and judicial corruption. The Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act (Republic Act No. 3019) criminalizes corrupt acts by public officials, yet many remain unpunished, allowing injustice to thrive. When justice fails, society as a whole suffers.
If we do nothing, more innocent lives will be destroyed, and real criminals will continue to escape punishment. Corruption will worsen, and trust in the justice system will disappear. But we can change this. We demand fair trials, faster court proceedings, and equal treatment for all. Removing corrupt officials is necessary to fix the system and restore justice. Every day, injustice ruins lives while those in power abuse the law for personal gain. We cannot afford to stay silent. We must stand together and demand reform before more lives are destroyed. By signing this petition, you take a stand for fair trials, swift justice, and the removal of corrupt leaders. Now is the time to act. Let us fight for a justice system that truly protects the people.
