I strongly support and share the Gifford Park Neighborhood School Effort’s vision.  The Henry W. Yates building on 32nd and Davenport Street should remain as a refugee/immigrant and pre-K learning center.  It is our hope that someday Yates will serve our neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods as a multi-purpose community center.

Furthermore, I agree that the new Gifford Park Elementary School should be built on the 32nd and Webster Street parking lot location.  Omaha Public Schools and Creighton University should find a way to facilitate the purchase of said parking lot on that Webster Street location for the construction of the new elementary school.

I appreciate your kind consideration in this matter, and whatever actions you may be able and willing to take to assist us in achieving the realization of our vision, for the safety, education, and future of the children and families in our neighborhood.
