Creation of GO Transit Hub in Brantford

Creation of GO Transit Hub in Brantford
The Issue
There has been a steady growth in population in the Golden Horseshoe region with each passing year as numerous new constructions crop up each passing week. We humbly request you to kindly consider expansion of GO trains to the region which would ease transportation during peak office hours as well save a lot of time escaping from traffic. There is a dire need for an upgrade of public transportation in the region.
Brantford being the flagbearer in development, desperately needs GO Transit connectivity. The strategic location of Brantford which provides good connectivity to neighboring areas such as County of Brant and Six Nations of the Grand River further intensifies this pitch. This was taken up to the attention of Honorable Mayor Kevin Devis, who pledged his support for the need for expansion of GO Trains to Brantford. Moreover, Earmarking Brantford as a transportation hub would make travel to nearby cities such as Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener more sustainable in future.
Current State:
1) Brantford to Cambridge - 24 kms distance - Takes 25 minutes using Car whereas it takes about 4 hours using public transportation.
2) Brantford to Guelph - 53 kms distance - Takes 50 minutes using Car whereas it takes about 3.5 hours using public transportation.
Few Articles for reference:
Creation of a nodal modal centered in Brantford with interconnecting stations to connect to Toronto, GTA, the Niagara region and other nearby cities would be greatly appreciated by people commuting regularly to Office and would enable them to live in areas other than GTA which is becoming highly unsustainable with rapid rise in rents or owning a home in GTA.
