College board is one of the most well known education services in the US, arguably the most well known one. It also has created plenty of advanced placement courses that act as a surrogate for college courses that are readily available for high schoolers. Colloquially known as AP courses, there are over 35 AP classes, covering the most important future subjects with a heavy variety. 

So, I think before I dig any deeper, I'm sure we can come to a consensus here. Philosophy is one of the most important subjects in the world, as it covers plenty of historical advancements and plenty of modern day events with roots in philosophy. Philosophy is often derived as "The study of thought", which alone can be responsible for many changes in our world today.

After proving the significance of philosophy, it can be agreed upon that philosophy should most definitely be an available AP course. There are plenty of AP classes that come nowhere near as important as philosophy or as in depth as philosophy, like AP Art History, AP Env Science, and essentially all of the language related courses. 

I strongly encourage you to sign this petition so that philosophy can become an official AP course, as when all is considered, it is by far one of the most important subjects in the world and its absence in retrospect and further comparison to other courses is purely staggering.
