Create some more routes for Queens from The Bronx and Brooklyn

The Issue

This time, my idea is not for the airports but is to provide more transit route options to get around NYC! We want to create some light rail train routes that ALL benefit Queens but 2 of them would benefit the Bronx and the other 2 would benefit Brooklyn as well! This will provide faster, more convenient options around the city, takes care of the environment since all trains would operate as Hybrid Clean Energy Trains and reduces crowding on NYC subway trains with more options around the city!

The train routes we are petitioning for:

  1. Bronx-Sunnyside-Maspeth Express, Bronx and Queens
  2. Bronx-Woodside-Maspeth Express, Bronx and Queens
  3. Red Hook Express, Queens and Brooklyn
  4. Coney Island Express, Queens and Brooklyn

Why I am petitioning for all this transportation:

Right now, the only options to get between Queens and The Bronx conveniently is by bus, that means road traffic and infrequent running at times. So I want to take action in helping to make those boroughs accessible by train as well. As for the Queens-Brooklyn routes, a lot of subway trains between Queens and Brooklyn go through Manhattan first like the F, N and R Trains, a plan for an Interborough Express between Queens and Brooklyn is actually in the works by the MTA and NY Governor Kathy Hochul, but even so. I think we are FAR from finished in improving service between Queens and Brooklyn, so that's why you see my idea for 2 new metro trains between those boroughs.

What you can expect if these trains are constructed:

  • Pay the way you'll be able to once the Interborough Express opens in the next few years
  • Operates as clean energy trains to protect the environment
  • Wheelchair accessible areas
  • My Bronx-Queens routes use the Hell Gate Bridge which is the Amtrak bridge connecting The Bronx and Queens so commuters can get a nice view of NYC while entering Queens or The Bronx

More detailed information about my train route ideas:

Bronx-Woodside-Maspeth Express, providing service between Gun Hill Rd/5 Train station in The Bronx and Grand Avenue in Maspeth, Queens

Bronx-Sunnyside-Maspeth Express, having 2 terminals in The Bronx splitting up after East Tremont Avenue. East Fordham Road/Crotona Avenue or East 225th Street/Laconia Avenue in The Bronx with only one terminal in Queens Maspeth-48 Avenue in Maspeth, Queens.

Red Hook Express, providing service between Steinway Street/Ditmars Blvd in Queens and Otsego Street near Red Hook's IKEA in Brooklyn

Coney Island Express, providing service between 149 Street/20 Avenue in Whitestone, Queens and Coney Island practically near the subway stop Coney Island-Stillwell Ave, the last stop on the D, F, N and Q Trains

WITH EVERY SIGNATURE! I figure out how to make these routes even better and more beneficial to NYC residents by expanding them!

With these trains, these are some of the steps towards a BIGGER BETTER New York and allows commuters to get between boroughs more conveniently! Plus, crowding on subways could be reduced! If you think New York needs trains like these, please consider signing! PLUS, when commuting to Queens from The Bronx or The Bronx from Queens, days where its bus service (which can get pretty infrequent at times) is the only option to get between those boroughs would be NO MORE!!!! We've got train service between those boroughs as well!!!!!

TO SIGNERS UNDER 18!!

As much as I appreciate signers choosing to donate some money to change.org so my petition can be shared with more people. I strongly recommend that you don’t use that option because I don’t want anyone to think that I am soliciting money from minors.
