Working Together for a Safer Flin Flon, Creighton, Denare Beach, and Surrounding Areas

We, the undersigned residents, business owners, employees, and visitors of Flin Flon, Creighton, Denare Beach, and surrounding areas, respectfully call on the City of Flin Flon, the communities of Creighton and Denare Beach, and the RCMP to work alongside our community to address growing concerns surrounding public safety across our tri-community region.

Flin Flon, Creighton, Denare Beach, and surrounding areas make up a community built on resilience, compassion, and neighbourly support. We recognize that many individuals experiencing addiction, mental health challenges, or homelessness deserve dignity, understanding, and access to appropriate services. At the same time, every resident, worker, business owner, and visitor deserves to feel safe — whether they’re walking through their neighbourhood, shopping, attending community events, accessing local services, or bringing their children to our parks, schools, and businesses, no matter which of our three communities they call home.

This petition is not about placing blame on any individual or organization. Instead, it is a call for collaboration, open communication, and practical solutions that balance public safety with compassion and support across the whole region.

We believe our tri-community has the ability to create a region that is welcoming, vibrant, safe, and inclusive for everyone. Achieving this requires cooperation between municipal leaders in Flin Flon, Creighton, and Denare Beach, law enforcement, service providers, businesses, and community members throughout the area.

By signing this petition, we respectfully ask the City of Flin Flon, the communities of Creighton and Denare Beach, and the RCMP to meet with members of the community to discuss these concerns and work together to develop both immediate and long-term solutions that improve safety across the tri-community while ensuring compassion and support for those who need it.

Together, we can build a stronger, safer tri-community for everyone.

Amendment note: This petition was revised from its original version to reflect a tri-community scope. Changes include: (1) formally naming Creighton and Denare Beach as parties being called on, alongside the City of Flin Flon and RCMP; (2) broadening “downtown” language to “across our tri-community region” throughout; (3) adding “schools” alongside parks and businesses; and (4) updating the closing call to action and signature line to reflect all three communities. These changes do not alter the intent of the original petition — only its geographic scope. Signatures collected under the original wording remain valid and are carried forward under this amended version.
