Create right turn exit only intersection from Mariposa to Whyte Ave
The Issue
Please call the Roseville Police traffic complaint hotline at (916) 746-1023 to Report License Plates of offenders.
Living in our neighborhood (Crowne Pointe ,Creekside Estates and Reuter Ranch) has become increasingly challenging in recent years as we face a constant barrage of traffic from people who use our community as a shortcut. It is frustrating to see our once peaceful streets crowded with cars that speed through just to save a few minutes on their commute. This incessant traffic not only disrupts our day-to-day lives but also raises significant safety concerns for our families and children.
We, the residents, have repeatedly witnessed dangerous driving behavior, including speeding and running stop signs, making it unsafe for pedestrians and cyclists. Kensington, Keith and San Simeon drive are not meant to handle such a high volume of non-residential traffic, and the current situation risks turning our community into a thoroughfare, rather than a safe haven.
Safety is our top priority, and it is crucial that action is taken to protect our community. By creating a right turn exit only intersection at the main access point, we can substantially reduce through traffic while still allowing residents to navigate efficiently. This change would deter non-residents from entering our neighborhood solely as a shortcut, significantly lowering traffic volumes and enhancing safety for everyone.
There are successful examples of similar measures in nearby communities just like ours, where implementing restrictions at key intersections has decreased unwanted traffic and consequently improved public safety. Additionally, this solution aligns with city traffic regulations and planning for sustainable urban development.
Every community deserves to live without the constant fear of road accidents and speeding cars. We urge the city officials to prioritize this matter and take swift action to enact this beneficial change for our neighborhood.
Please support us in advocating for a safer, quieter, and more enjoyable living environment for our families by signing this petition today. Together, we can make a difference and reclaim our streets. Home Values will increase as well.
