We ask Newcastle City Council to acknowledge the important role land to the South of the A696, West of Newbiggin Lane And North of Hareydene (Upper Callerton), Newcastle upon Tyne has to the community as an area acting as an informal ‘country’ park.

We ask Newcastle City Council to acknowledge the critical environmental, health, social, and economic benefits that this area brings to Newbiggin Hall and surrounding area.

We ask Newcastle City Council to acknowledge how the area makes the estate a liveable, resilient space. This Green oasis serves as a multi-functional solution to the challenges of dense urban living, which characterises living in Newbiggin Hall and surrounding area.

We therefore call upon Newcastle City Council to make this area, Newcastle City Council’s 34th ‘Urban Country’ park using the area known as Newbiggin and Bluebell Denes
