Create additional Pickleball courts at John Mise Park
Create additional Pickleball courts at John Mise Park
The Issue
We request that the San Jose Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services department create additional Pickleball courts at John Mise Park similar to the existing 4 Pickleball courts that are present today.
We request that council members and the capital improvements team conduct a community meeting to discuss the need and the details.
The existing 4 Pickleball courts at John Mise Park can handle 16 players maximum at once and there are often more than 32 players and sometimes over 50 players present and waiting most of the time. We have an extensive 3-year record of historical Pickleball court utilization demonstrating large numbers of players on weekends, weekday evenings, and many weekday mornings.
Pickleball is an amazing social construct permitting citizens to engage and interact with each other in a kind friendly manner that is inclusive. This is why Pickleball has grown each successive year. This builds, unites and grows the community in a positive manner.
