I met with my local MP today and she was incredibly supportive. She listened carefully, understood the trauma gap we’ve been fighting to highlight, and agreed that families should never be left without help after a violent dog attack.
She told me she can help arrange a meeting between the Department of Health and Social Care . This means the issue is now being taken seriously at a cross government level, exactly where change happens.
This is a huge step forward.
Your support has helped bring us to 37,323 signatures ( as of writing this post ), and every single one of those voices shows the public wants a national trauma pathway for dog‑attack victims, one that doesn’t depend on age, postcode, or luck.
I’ll keep pushing and even if nothing comes of it i'm proud of what i've managed to achieve. I’ll update you again as soon as the next meeting is confirmed.
She also said she can support me with potential media opportunities ,like newspapers and radio ,to help raise awareness even further.
