Create a Solo / Single Line for Faster Up-Mountain Access

Create a Solo / Single Line for Faster Up-Mountain Access
The Issue
Dear SERMA,
Each year, we join countless others in queuing up to access mountain lifts for a day of skiing or snowboarding. These lines often move frustratingly slow as ski lifts operate at half capacity as people aren’t filling the seats while people wait their turn, especially at Tour & Proclou in Avoriaz. This issue isn't restricted to these areas. It exists across diverse locations and continues to be a widespread source of frustration.
We believe a simple solution exists: allowing solo skiers & snowboarders to utilise the otherwise exclusive ski school lines, of course with priority still to the ski school -
Alternatively, the creation of separate solo line could effectively speed up waiting times and facilitate expeditious access to the mountain. This will not just resolve the bottlenecks but also eliminate the need for additional infrastructure investments - a win-win.
This used to work very well at Lac Inderets before the upgrade. and this is a common convention in ski resorts around the world.
With the number of visitors It's reasonable to suspect that a good proportion of these visitors encountered the same lift line delays. The proposed solution could significantly decrease waiting times, reduce frustration, and improve overall resort experiences for everyone. It would also make the resort more attractive bringing more visitors & income to the area.
Thank you for all that you do each ski season to deliver a world class ski area.

Please sign this petition to echo our call to ski resorts locally to reconsider their lift line policies for the benefit of all their patrons and the greater good of the skiing and snowboarding community. Let us work together to bring about this change. Once this reaches enough signatories this will be sent to the Morzine, Avoriaz ski domains responsible for the ski lifts 🚠 and infrastructure.
