Join me in encouraging our county commissioners to make an addition to the site agreement between Perkins County the landfill that there must be a joint partnership to create some type of usable green space from the mound of trash that continues to grow. 

The landfill creates a unique opportunity with the new geography created. The possibilities are endless; birdwatching, hiking and mountain biking trails, a sledding slope, anything is better than just a pile of trash. 

The county commissioners will be finalizing a new site agreement with the landfill in the coming months. Without some type of agreement all we are creating is a pile of trash, but with some type of agreement, we can create something that benefits our community.
