I want the parks to be a crown jewel of this community. I would like to be able to utilize the parks, but because of the way they are taken care of, there are too many health concerns that come along with using them. The parks—Lake Park, Veterans Park, and Vonachen Park—are not being maintained properly and it seems the city has no interest in improving them. They are now declining.

Creating a dedicated park district will ensure these spaces receive the attention and resources they need to thrive. A well-maintained park system can provide safe recreational opportunities for families, improve community health, and increase property values in Delavan.
