Create a Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation license plate in Colorado

Create a Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation license plate in Colorado
The Issue
For over 11 years, I've watched my son bravely battle against Crohn's disease—a struggle that is constant and relentless. As a mother, it is my duty to do everything in my power to ensure his well-being, and part of this is advocating for awareness and support for Crohn's and colitis. This is why I am calling for the creation of a custom license plate representing the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation right here in Colorado.
A special license plate for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation will not only raise awareness for these often invisible yet devastating diseases, but also serve as a powerful symbol of hope and solidarity for the thousands who are suffering. Currently, more than 3.1 million people in the United States are affected by Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, conditions that are physically, emotionally, and financially taxing.
Custom license plates can be instrumental in mobilizing our community to rally around issues that deeply affect us. In other states, such initiatives have successfully generated significant funds that have gone directly to medical research, patient support, and educational programs. Imagine how impactful a license plate like this could be in not just reminding us of those who fight these diseases daily, but also collecting crucial funds to aid in their battle.
To make this vision a reality, we need to present this cause to the Colorado Department of Revenue, which oversees vehicle license plates issuance. This involves meeting their specific requirements for new specialty plates, including gathering signatures and potentially raising funds. However, with adequate support, I believe we can overcome these hurdles and make the Crohn’s & Colitis plate a reality.
By signing this petition, you join me in a mission that is very close to my heart and the hearts of many others. You help us create a beacon of hope and a platform for continuing the conversation around Crohn's and colitis, improving lives in our community. Please, sign our petition today and help us drive change for those who need it most.
