Petition to the President of the United States and the U.S. Congress

Many Canadians increasingly find themselves at odds with the direction of federal policy and major government decisions affecting the economy, taxation, affordability, public services, immigration, and the future of the country.

For some, this has reached the point where they are seriously considering building their future outside Canada. They are not simply looking for better employment opportunities — they are looking for a country where they can permanently live, work, raise their families, contribute to their communities, and eventually become citizens.

For many, the United States is the natural choice.

Yet qualified Canadian citizens currently have no straightforward immigration pathway allowing them to apply directly for a Green Card based on their own skills, work history, education, and ability to support themselves.

We are asking President Donald J. Trump and the United States Congress to consider creating a dedicated Canadian Green Card immigration pathway.

Applicants could be required to:
• Be Canadian citizens;
• Pass full criminal, immigration, medical, and national-security screening;
• Demonstrate financial self-sufficiency;
• Demonstrate professional skills, skilled-trade experience, education, work history, or other qualifications showing an ability to contribute to the United States.

Employer sponsorship should not be required. Applicants should be able to qualify based on their own merits.

This would not be an asylum program, an amnesty, an investor program, or automatic immigration.

Being Canadian alone would not guarantee anyone a Green Card.

Applicants would still have to qualify, pass screening, and meet requirements established by the United States.

One of the families behind this petition is a Canadian family with professional careers, education, substantial work experience, and the ability to support themselves.

We are not asking for public assistance, asylum, or an immigration loophole.

We are asking for the opportunity to qualify.

There are many Canadian families in a similar position who are ready to contribute from the moment they arrive.

America should be able to selectively attract productive, law-abiding, self-sufficient people who genuinely want to become Americans.

We are not asking for guaranteed Green Cards. We are asking for a legal path to qualify for one.
