Support The Gatwick School Planning Application
The Issue
Please support The Gatwick School to remain on its current site permanently and to build a sports hall!
The Gatwick School in Crawley has been open since 2014. Uniquely for Crawley and Horley it is an all-through state funded school for pupils aged 4-16. It now has over 800 pupils. It was rated "Good" in its first Ofsted inspection. It is popular with parents and pupils and has a dedicated, hardworking staff of nearly 100.
Over the last 6 years the buildings, which were previously disused offices, have been transformed into a school with modern classrooms and specialist teaching areas including science labs and a dance studio. The Gatwick School is now asking Crawley Borough Council for planning permission to
- permanently change the use of the buildings to a school
- build a sports hall and Multi Use Games Area for school and community use
- add a new secondary library and canteen
- add a new facade to the buildings.
