Say NO to Public Toilet - Frederick Annand Park, Chermside West

The issue

There should be NO Public Toilets built at Frederick Annand Park.

From a locals perspective, we understand that while using our wonderful little park, people can be inconvenienced when they need the loo and there isn't one - especially when it's our children - we've all had those mad dashes home to use the loo, sometimes shortening our playdate, exercise or catch up.

But that's part of what makes our park great.....and SAFE.

This is a family park shared by people of all ages for lots of different uses at different time of the day.

It's a place where our kindy children look out to the wonderful green, tree filled park.

Where school children safely walk to school and back home.

Where kids run free in open spaces, wonder the creek edge, ride bikes and scooters, make friends at the playground and burn some energy playing sport.

Our park has great visibility from one side to the other, a block of toilets will block this visibility creating a SAFETY ISSUE.

Currently only park users use the park, if there's a toilet, there will be non park users that will stop at the park to use the toilets during the day.

For people that don't live close by there are already sufficient public toilet provisions for individuals and groups at the much larger nearby parks, such as John Goss and Marchant Park.

Let's not ruin a good thing!
