Everyone these days are affected by the pandemic, with that in mind...everything is now online. Here in Chicago, our public schools have created a schedule that lasts 8 hours which is extremely draining. Not only do we not get time for ourselves but we have to then limit ourselves to only  a few hours of homework and cannot make time for personal jobs, sports, or activities we usually do after school. Our goal is to create a block schedule, shorten the time span, or start earlier so we can get out earlier because 8 consecutive hours of teachers speaking with no breaks causes for a lack of motivation, lower attention span, and less quality work. Not only that but staring at a computer screen for that long has long term effects which will have a negative impact on our health, mobility, eyesight, and mental health. Please spread the word and build a better environment for us students! We know it’s a difficult time so let’s create a solution to make it manageable.
