Save Uber in Brighton, UK

Keep our beloved Uber private-hire taxi service in Brighton & Hove!
In light of the recent record change.org petition in London with over 800,000 signatures and growing, to overturn the short-sighted decision not to renew Uber's license in the city, show your support for the service we all love and wish to keep in Brighton & Hove.
The recent taxi "go slows" around the city are a danger to public health, blocking access to Emergency Services and further inconveniencing the public in what is a desperate attempt to force the council into following in London's footsteps by banning Uber from operating.
If the Cabbies get their way we will loose this amazing service just like London did.
Show your support to the council that the people do not want to be ripped-off by taxis any more, and retain our right to choose which service we find the best as paying consumers.
I personally have had many bad experiences with taxis, one once tried to run me over by the station when there was no pedestrian walkway due to building work. Another vandalised my doorbell when they had taken 45 mins to arrive and there was then no-one home.
In contrast Uber drivers are very friendly, the cars are significantly higher quality, the ride is there quicker, tracked to my door via the mobile app, paid for electronically and and most importantly, much cheaper than the massively over-priced and lack-lustre taxi alternative.
