Oppose the proposed development of 47-51 Main Street Lowdham

The Issue

A relatively large development of the Lowdham chemist to include x3 shop units has been proposed across 47-51 Main Street Lowdham. This will include a new parking and turning area for customers & delivery vehicles to the rear (entrance via the existing village car park)

We as a family strongly object to these proposals. My mother Deborah lives next door at number 45 Main Street and I believe that the proposed plans will affect her rights regarding noise & nuisance, privacy and potentially light as well.

Lowdham was once a quiet village and Main Street is already extremely congested, the road through the village just isn't large enough. I feel that the plans will constitute to overdevelopment of the area & change of character as there are already many local amenities in the village. I'd like to also ask if it is wise to be considering these plans during the COVID pandemic.

It would be great to find out what the village stance is on the redevelopment, so if you are against the proposals too, please don't hesitate to sign this petition!
