Redrow want to build an astonishing 2800 house on Green Belt Land around Storeton. They are calling it the "Storeton Garden Village". They say it will "wrap around and compliment" the existing village, in fact it will completely obliterate its beautiful rural setting.

Please donate to the Wirral Green Space Alliance Legal Fighting Fund to help stop these developers at the Local Plan Examination in Public. Donate via the following link:

Redrow are part of the Wirral Development Consortium, a consortium of 13 Local Housebuilders and Landowners who are challenging Wirral's "Brownfield only" Local Plan. They have hired an expensive senior Barrister to challenge the Local Plan at the Local Plan Examination in Public.

They argue that the Councils housing need figure of 835 houses per year is too low. Redrow state that the figure should actually 1159 house per year. They argue that the brownfield land identified by the Council is not deliverable or developable and that Green Belt must be released.

Redrow reported profits of £410million last year, on the sale of 5715 houses. That's an average profit of £72,000 per house. Should this "Storeton Garden Village" go ahead they would be set to make in the region of £200million profit from DESTROYING OUR ENVIRONMENT.

They have the money to pay for expensive legal teams and they will be doing everything they can to get Green Belt released and to push this scheme through.

Wirral Green Space Alliance want to also have legal representation at the Local Plan Inspection / Examination, challenging the Wirral Development Consortium ON YOUR BEHALF. Legal Fees are incredibly expensive and we need to raise as much money as possible so that we can have legal representation at as many of the Public Examination days as possible, to argue against the Developers.

Please donate as little or as much as you can afford!
