Dear Supporters
Please donate to the Wirral Green Space Alliance Legal Fighting Fund to help stop Miller Homes building 550 houses in the fields north of Gilroy Road, Fulton Ave, Farndon Drive and Grange Farm Crescent, West Kirby. The fields are north and south of Saughall Massie Road and cover the area from Gilroy Nature Park right across to China Plate Farm.

These fields are functionally linked to the River Dee Special Protection Area and provide a home to 1000s of over-wintering birds. They are also at risk from flooding and are a bog for most of the winter, holding back water and mitigating flood risk in the surrounding areas and downstream.
Miller Homes are part of the Wirral Development Consortium, a consortium of 13 housebuilders and landowners who are challenging Wirrals Brownfield only Local Plan and are arguing that Green Belt must be released for development.
They argue that the Council's figure of 835 houses is to low and should be even higher and that green belt must be released to meet the higher housing figure.
They argue that the Brownfields identified by the Council are not viable or deliverable and that Green Belt must be released instead.
They have appointed a Senior Barrister, Rupert Warren KC to represent them at the Local Plan Examination in Public. He specialises in arguing for building on Green Belt. We want to employ our own legal representation to ARGUE ON YOUR BEHALF.
Legal fees are very expensive so please donate as little or as much as you can afford.
