Russell Homes want to build 555 house on Pump Lane, Greasby. Russell Homes are part of the Wirral Development Consortium, a group of 13 housebuilders and landowners who are challenging Wirral Council's Local Plan.
The Development Consortium have hired a Senior Barrister, Rupert Warren KC to argue for Green Belt release.
The Consortium argue that the Council's housing need figure of 835 houses per annum is too low and should be even higher and that Green Belt should be released to meet the higher figure.
They argue that the Brownfield sites that the Council have identified are not deliverable or viable and that Green Belt must be released instead.
They have submitted hundreds of documents to the Local Plan Inspector and they will have their expensive planning experts and legal team lined up to argue their case at the Local Plan Public Examination.
Please help Wirral Green Space Alliance to have legal representatives challenging these developers, ON YOUR BEHALF, at the Local Plan Public Examination.
