Time is running out there are just a couple of days left to respond to the Local Plan Consultation.

If you haven’t yet submitted your response, you have until 5pm On Monday 6th April. There are several ways to respond…..you can submit responses on the on line portal, comment on individual sites, or email your response directly to localplan@wirral.gov.uk.

There are template letters on the Wirral Society’s web page (see link below). The Council have indicated that they will record copies of the same letter as multiple responses (so you just have to copy and paste the letter and add you name and address – it just takes a few minutes!!!)

The Wirral Green Space Alliance, in conjunction with the Wirral Society, have produced the following guide to the Local Plan Consultation....it is really important that as many people as possible take part in the Consultation exercise. You can submit as many responses as you want, in as many ways as you are able.....follow this link for more information….

Please ensure that, however you respond, you tell the Council that their figure of 12000 houses is too high and that there should be NO building on ANY of the Green Belt.

We understand that people’s minds are on other things at this difficult time, but the last few weeks have highlighted just how important green and open spaces are for peoples health and well being, the production of food etc. It really is important that as many people as possible respond to the Consultation. If you are stuck at home with not much to do, please just take 10 minutes to send off an email to the Council.
