GUIDE TO HELP RESIDENTS RESPOND TO THE LOCAL PLAN CONSULTATION - PLEASE SHARE

CLOSING DATE 6th APRIL

Dear Supporters,

We hope everyone is staying safe and well and we appreciate that there are so many other important things on people’s minds at the moment. However, if you are at home and stuck for something to do please take some time to comment on the Local Plan.  We are living through unprecedented times and the last few weeks have highlighted, more than ever, how important our green and open spaces are for health, well being, food production etc. The closing date for the consultation has been extended until 5pm on 6th April.

The Wirral Green Space Alliance, in conjunction with the Wirral Society, have produced the following guide to the Local Plan Consultation....it is really important that as many people as possible take part in the Consultation exercise. There are several ways to respond and you can submit as many responses as you want, in as many ways as you are able.....follow this link for more information......

https://wirralsociety.net/help-with-wirral-local-plan-consultation/

Please ensure that, however you respond, you tell the Council that their figure of 12000 houses is too high and that there should be no building on the Green Belt.

The link includes some example letters…if you do not have time to respond to the online questionnaire you can simply copy and paste the letters (the Council have stated that they will accept multiple copies of the same letters)  - just add your name and address and state that you are a resident and email to localplan@wirral.gov.uk

Thank you for your support
