Uganda government under President Yoweri Museveni for 33 years now in power continues to abuse the fundamental rights of Ugandans by violent repression of dissenting voices. In the past weeks and until today government has arrested and tortured some several members of parliament after it lost a by election, these members were beaten up, injured and one Bobi Wine was gravely injured and another Zaake was beaten into coma and he is not well at all.  Members of public are violently flogged by the army, journalists are not spared, and by yesterday the national parliament suspended activities on hope that the dictator will explain why the torture.

The EU is aware of the developments, but we can see that private diplomacy is not bearing any fruit. We demand that travel bans be insititued against the president of Uganda, the army and police chiefs, the prime minister and defence minister. As the masses are rising up to support the change led by Hon Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, we are bracing for more violent repression. Please supper change in Uganda
