The Issue

There was absolutely no reason for Costco to change the formulation of the recipe on the KIRKLAND Signature PROTEIN BARS! This is Costco’s #1 selling bar ... so why are they messing with the recipe when it completely changes the product as well as the reason why people are buying it? People are buying the Protein Bars for their amazing guilty pleasure taste and their VERY low net carbs. They were the best tasting, most filling, lowest net carb, and best priced bar on the market that didn’t effect your blood sugar. There is already another KIRKLAND BAR that has a 10+ net carbs in it and it’s not Costco’s top seller ... the reason ... it’s because it has too many net carbs!  Costco please know your customers/market for this product and realize ... 10 NET CARBS IS TOO MANY!!! We will not continue to purchase the KIRKLAND PROTEIN BAR if it contains this many net carbs.

The changes made to the bars:

They Removed:
-Dietary fiber from tapioca starch
And Added:
-Soluble corn fiber
-Isomalto-oligosaccharides

Due to these changes the protein bars jumped from 3-4 net carbs per bar to a whopping 10 net carbs per bar!
THAT IS 233% MORE NET CARBS PER BAR! ***THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!***

***10 NET CARBS ... that’s the same amount of net carbs as eating 3 and 1/3 bars of the prior recipe!***

In addition to the massive net carb increase we also LOST 5g of fiber per bar!

If this change was brought about due to cost, then PLEASE just increase the price of the bars ... do not change the recipe which effects the net carb count.

COSTCO WE BEG YOU ... PLEASE CHANGE THE PROTEIN BARS BACK TO THE PRIOR RECIPE THAT HAS ONLY 3-4 NET CARBS WITH HASTE!
