Dear Coppell Community,
💡 Did You Know?
Nearly 700 children zoned to Coppell ISD are now attending charter schools — meaning CISD is losing out on the funding that would have supported their education right here at home.
That raises an important question:
- Have we done everything possible to bring these students back to CISD — an A-rated district?
- Have we seen any tangible plans to make that happen?
📊 Why This Matters
Every 200 students represent roughly $1.2 million in funding — enough to help avoid a school closure.
If we continue to lose enrollment to charters, the financial strain only deepens — and closing schools will accelerate that loss, not solve it.
We need a real plan.
Closing schools is a short-term fix.
Growing enrollment is the long-term, exciting solution that will truly strengthen CISD for years to come.
