Today’s DYK focuses on something every Coppell resident should understand — how a public school district actually operates, and the critical roles each group plays in shaping our children’s education:

👥 Our Community & Voters – You elect the Board of Trustees and approve bond measures. Your voice sets priorities and expectations for fiscal responsibility and excellence.

🧑‍⚖️ Board of Trustees – Elected officials who govern the district, approve policies, and hold the Superintendent accountable. Their decisions impact every student and every taxpayer.

👩‍💼 Superintendent – The chief executive of CISD, responsible for implementing the Board’s vision, managing staff, and ensuring that data-driven decisions align with district goals.

🏢 CISD Administration – The leadership team and staff who provide operational support, financial management, and program execution for every campus.

All of these groups are interconnected — we can’t succeed without each one.
That’s why transparency, data-driven planning, open engagement, and long-term strategy are essential for building a stronger CISD that truly serves our students and community.
