Simply put - let's get together, and convert Bisceglie Pond into an outdoor pool!

This will effect all town residents. An additional town pool will open up the opportunity for Weston to offer more programs centered around swimming as well as help strengthen our existing programs.

Currently, the only pool Weston has for swimming related programs, is the pool located in the Weston Middle School. Anyone who has been swimming there in the last few years knows that this pool needs more band-aids than an active 8 year old. 

Weston, CT swimming programs are one of the best Fairfield County has to offer. Our High School teams have won countless championships and our Club Team competes across the nation at the sports highest level. Currently, all of our success has come from the town pool located inside the Weston Middle School. Many community members do not even know we have a "town pool", yet this pool is used more than any other sports facility in Weston.

Our 1 town pool in Weston is used for Adult Lap swim, Weston Swimming Club program, Triathlon Camp, WHS Boys and Girls Swim Teams, Parent Toddler Lessons, Red Cross lesson programs, Red Cross Lifeguard and Saftey training, middle school swimming school programs, Girl and Boy Scout Programs, diving programs, scuba classes and various camps and other summer activities revolved around swimming.

The pool is occupied from 6am - 9pm almost every day of the year.

The locker room area needs a major overhaul because it is also used as the main locker area for all gym classes in the Middle School. There is no adequate place for dry-land training and a conversion of Bisceglie could include a dry-land training facility.

My name is Ryan Loechner and I am the Head Swim coach for Weston Swimming. It is my dream to garner enough support to convert Bisceglie to a pool (or build a new pool somewhere else in Weston).
