Nous, soussignés, sommes préoccupés par le projet de l’arrondissement CDN-NDG de convertir le plus grand espace en gazon naturel du parc Mackenzie-King (Snowdon) en un terrain synthétique multisport, créant ainsi un îlot de chaleur et introduisant des produits chimiques éternels (PFAS).

Nous demandons que l’arrondissement CDN-NDG s’engage dans une véritable transition écologique et respecte les engagements de la Charte montréalaise des droits et responsabilités sur la préservation de la biodiversité et son accroissement dans les parcs et les espaces verts, l’amélioration constante de la qualité des sols de la ville et la promotion de mesures afin d’augmenter les îlots de fraîcheur.

We, the undersigned, are concerned by the CDN-NDG borough's project to convert the largest natural grass area in Mackenzie King Park (Snowdon) into a synthetic multi-sport field, creating a heat island and introducing “forever” chemicals (PFAS).

We ask that the CDN-NDG borough commit to a true ecological transition and respect the commitments of the Montreal Charter of Rights and Responsibilities on the preservation of biodiversity and to increase park spaces and green spaces, to improvement of the quality of the city's soils and the promotion of measures to increase the cooling islands.
