Continue to Monitor Craig's List

On May 13, 2009, Craig's List finally agreed to close down its front for human trafficking and prostitution known as the "Erotic Services" section. Although a new "Adult" section will replace it, Craig's List pledges to thoroughly monitor each new ad for signs of illegal activity.

Although there are many valid concerns that the recruitment and selling of victims of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation will simply migrate to other online sites, this is one victory we can all be proud of. Let's continue to monitor Craig's List to make sure they fulfill their promise.
