Continue Nuclear Disarmament!

Continue Nuclear Disarmament!
The Issue
In the wake of the Ukraine-Russia war, fallout from a nuclear weapon exchange or a disturbance from a nuclear power plant has never seemed so real.
The US Congressional Budget estimates that 640 billion$, that’s 60 billion$ a year between now to 2030, would go into the development of nuclear arms. As of now, there are 13,000 in the world today.
This is a backtracking of progress that activists of decades past have made in continuing a nuclear-threat free world. Political analysts say we’re heading towards a possibility of nuclear threats not seen since the early 1980s.
It’s time to restart the activism of nuclear disarmament, and tell the US government to start a new nuclear treaty that has a “no first use” policy, and cut back on spending towards nuclear and atomic weaponry.
