For SUPREME and James Jebbia to cut all ties with The Carlyle Group

The Issue

The skateboarding brand Supreme is worn by countless rappers and people of color. It is without a doubt that Supreme would of never attained it's current icon status without People of Color supporting their brand. Right now Supreme is 50% owned by the Carlyle Group, a company that produces riot gear for the police. This is an injustice and a direct disrespect to the communities that made your brand a success to begin with. We demand that James Jebbia re purchase the share in Supreme he sold back from the Carlyle group. We also demand that that 50% share in ownership then be broken in half and that 25% ownership of the company be given to black employees and sponsored riders. Give them equity in the company they built.

The box logo is iconic because of black men. Biggie Smalls and Tyler the Creator just to name two. Does your company stand with them, and the folks who buy your clothes, or with Carlyle group and the police?
