Animal cruelty does not end with abusing domestic animals as one would think, it extends to livestock, commercial and zoo animals as well. Animal cruelty is a huge social problem that impacts society severely. Animals are living organisms that live alongside us humans and if people are willing to harm a helpless animal that cannot fend for itself then it’s basically saying that society has settled with this type of behavior. Animal cruelty includes, but not limited to lab testing for various reasons, riding animals while on vacation, visiting trapped animals in the zoo and poorly raised livestock. Zoo animals are heavily sedated so customers can take pictures with them, animals in different countries are beaten while training to pose for pictures and or tricks. They endure a lot of pain and suffer severely when tested on for makeup and medical purposes. Animals are kept alive in extremely small spaces and fed poorly when being raised as livestock. These are just some of the many inhumane things humans do to these living things. Like humans, animals also have feelings, they also feel hungry, hurt, pain and happiness.
