The Issue

As someone who was raised in this neighborhood, I fondly remember the simple joys of playing outdoors with friends. However, the children of today in our community have limited access to play and recreational activities. This not only impacts their physical well-being but also restricts their ability to interact, make friends, and create memories.

Although we had our share of outdoor games, the lack of a structured playground set constraints on the experiences and the kind of play that could be offered to us. A playground does more than improve physical health. It helps children develop social skills, teamwork, and imagination. According to UNICEF, play is so important for optimal child development and has been recognized as a fundamental right of every child.

Our proposition is to build a children's playground on the local Green Space next to St Paul's SNS/JNS. This space is currently underused and can be modified to benefit our community greatly.

Let's cultivate an atmosphere that encourages our children to play, interact, and grow. It's time to turn this vision into a reality! I urge you to sign this petition and support the construction of a children's playground in our local community. Let us provide our children with the facilities we didn’t have and help them create unforgettable childhood memories. Please, sign this petition now!
