People are watching the video and supporting this campaign. We want to put as much pressure on the powers that have delayed the path as possible.
Little Eaton in Derbyshire will have their £2m 3.5 miles surfaced rural path by this time next year. Check the story out at the bottom of the update.
Meanwhile the large craters and deep crevices all along the Redrow bridleway represent the continued dragging of heels regarding completion of the Caddington Heritage greenway
The latest update is that works to begin the undisputed sections will begin in April. But absolutely no sign of D’arblay investments offering the local community any compromise on their ambitions for the section of the route that would connect Redrow to Caddington. Meanwhile the roads of Caddington continue to be dotted with floral tributes to people losing their lives on these dangerous roads. In the catastrophic event of somebody losing their life on Chaul End road when they would have instead been using the path. And with the disputed section being the only incomplete segment: How long will the landowners behaviour be tolerated? Withdraw now! And if they don’t then escalate! issue CPOs on them on the worst terms possible. We want the path and the circumstance supporting it will only increase. We were told about nuisance bikes that are already here, we have been told the compensation isn’t adequate. Some say we don’t need the path. Some say completion is too sensitive to the seasons. It’s all very questionable and local residents just won’t buy it anymore.
