Your support has literally put this issue on the agenda!
I was very pleased to be able to present our campaign to the Full Council meeting at Chicksands on Thursday. So our story has been heard by all councillors and assembled executive members present.
Cllr Wye who is the Executive member dealing with this offered the following in response: (my summary)
*Can understand the frustration and experience of local residents having to live through this when it as we say should have already been on the ground.
*If the formal withdrawal of the objection comes through (which has apparently been assured by the land agent) the Council can move to a confirmation order in May.
*The Councils’ contractors Milestone have been working on quotes for surfacing works based on recent site visits.
*If this goes through we can see works begin in the Summer.
*Councillor Wye also told us that she was coming to meet our Councillor on-site to see the development at Caddington Woods and the proposed route for herself the very next day.
I made it clear in my 3 minute address that we are not at a stage where we can ‘throw our hats in the air’. But it is encouraging and we shall hopefully see some progress over the next few weeks and months.
Again thank you for your shares, signatures and support.
