As residents of Chikkmalligwad and Varavnaglavi, we are deprived of basic infrastructure such as roads that provide crucial connectivity. Our daily lives are significantly affected by the lack of a direct road between our villages. This concern is deeply personal to me and many others who commute for livelihood purposes to other nearby areas. Moreover, our aspiration for job reservations for locals at the Indian Institute of Technology, Dharwad campus, remains a dream due to these connectivity issues.

Reliable transportation options are associated with improved socio-economic outcomes. A World Bank report highlights that adequate road infrastructure can drastically transform rural communities leading to increased access to job opportunities and services, education, and healthcare facilities. By building this much-needed road, the governments can facilitate better living standards and job opportunities for locals, enhancing the attractiveness of these villages as potential centres of growth.

Therefore, we request the local government and the concerned authorities to construct a road linking Chikkmalligwad village to Varavnaglavi village at the earliest, bridging the crucial gap to vital socio-economic opportunities.
