Construct Public Indoor Tennis Courts in Orlando Florida

Construct Public Indoor Tennis Courts in Orlando Florida
The Issue
I am a passionate tennis player, coached by my father, with aspirations to play college tennis. However, the unpredictable and often harsh weather conditions in Florida - heat, sun exposure, wind, rain and thunderstorms - frequently disrupt our practice sessions. This is not just my struggle; it's an issue faced by many players across the state.
Florida is known for its wild weather. According to the National Weather Service data (NWS), Florida experiences an average of 54 days of thunderstorm activity per year. The scorching heat and high humidity levels make outdoor activities challenging during summer months.
The lack of public indoor tennis courts not only hinders consistent training but also limits opportunities for schools and colleges to foster talent in this sport. We believe that constructing indoor courts will greatly benefit aspiring players like me who are determined to improve their skills irrespective of the weather conditions.
We urge local authorities in Apopka and throughout Florida to consider building public indoor tennis courts as part of their sports infrastructure development plans. By doing so, they would be promoting physical fitness among residents while simultaneously nurturing future athletes who could bring pride to our state on national platforms.
