The residents of Latitude Margaritaville Watersound in Panama City Beach, Florida are showing support for the consideration of the construction of additional pickleball courts. This request comes as a result of high current owner participation in this popular sport. Pickleball has seen a surge in popularity across the United States with an estimated 3.46 million players as reported by the Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA). In our community, we have also experienced this growth firsthand but unfortunately, our existing facilities have not kept pace. We believe that utilizing existing expansion areas for additional courts will not only meet current and future demand but also encourage more residents to engage in this fun and healthy activity.
