Construct an Inclusive Park in Santa Rosa Through the Magical Bridge Foundation

The Issue

I have dedicated two decades of my life to early childhood education, and during this time, I have witnessed firsthand the pressing need for inclusive play spaces in our community of Santa Rosa. Our children, regardless of their abilities or disabilities, deserve a place where they can play and learn together.

The Magical Bridge Foundation is renowned for designing and constructing innovative parks that are accessible to all. Their work has transformed communities by promoting inclusivity and understanding through shared play experiences. However, our city's Parks and Recreation Department has yet to partner with them.

Currently in the United States, one in four individuals live with a disability (U.S Census Bureau). Yet most playgrounds are not designed with these individuals in mind. This lack of accessibility denies them essential opportunities for social interaction, physical activity, and personal development.

By building an inclusive park through the Magical Bridge Foundation here in Santa Rosa we can change this reality. We can provide our children - all our children - with a space where they feel welcomed and valued.

Join me as we call on the Santa Rosa Parks and Recreation Department to build an inclusive park through partnership with the Magical Bridge Foundation. Let's create a more inclusive future for our community – sign this petition today!
