PES University is one of India's top engineering institutions. With over 6000 students and a variety of courses offered, it is Karnataka's top private engineering college.

The institute is located near Hoskerehalli Cross, Banashankari 3rd Stage, right after Kathriguppe. The Outer Ring Road runs opposite the college's main gates. It is a busy street, with traffic especially heavy during peak hours. Taking into account the students, faculty, staff and general public, it is safe to assume that at least 5000 people cross the road every day. However, due to the traffic density in the region, the lack of an alternative pathway across the road has caused discomfort, accidents and even deaths.

Therefore, it is our sincere request to you to construct a foot-over bridge/skywalk outside the college campus to ensure pedestrian safety and smooth traffic flow.

The need for the Skywalk is all the more enhanced when the number of mishaps in the area are taken into account. In the past year, two deaths have occurred due to accidents on the road in question, in the vicinity of the PES main gate. There have been numerous minor accidents and mishaps due to traffic problems as well. Not to mention the immense tension caused by the region's high traffic and pedestrian density.

The construction of a Skywalk outside PES University, across Outer Ring Road, will be in the best interests of students and the general public. This is all the more vindicated when the deaths and accidents are taken into account. The urgent and swift construction of the Skywalk will not only ensure smooth traffic flow and pedestrian safety, it will also save time and lives.
